WHEELTOP EDS — Electronic Derailleur System
WHEELTOP EDS is a fully wireless electronic shifting system offering precise, consistent gear changes with
minimal
maintenance. Compatible with standard mechanical derailleur hangers, it can be installed on most bicycles
without any
frame modifications.
Note: The system uses a rechargeable battery integrated into the rear derailleur. A single charge
provides more than 20,000
shifts.
Each groupsets includes the rear derailleur, front derailleur, shifters/controllers, charging cable, and all
necessary
mounting hardware. No wiring or housing is required.

longer
cage capacity and
superior compatibility.

Installation Requirements
What you need before installing your WHEELTOP system.
Installation requires no special tools beyond a standard bike toolkit. The complete process typically takes 30–60 minutes for first-time installers.

Installation steps:

1Remove your existing rear derailleur and clean the derailleur hanger thread.

2Mount the WHEELTOP rear derailleur onto the hanger. Torque: 8–10 Nm.

3Route the chain through the derailleur and join using the quick link provided.

4Mount the shifters onto your handlebars and pair them to the derailleur via the WHEELTOP App.

5Perform initial calibration in the app by selecting the corresponding speed for a preliminary test.

6Test shift through all gears and fine-tune trim via the app if needed.

Rather than relying on a fixed physical structure, the system achieves cross-platform compatibility through software-defined shifting. It is theoretically compatible with your drivetrain provided the tooth count stays within the parameters specified in the product documentation. |

| What type of derailleur hanger is required for installation? |
- Standard (Non-Direct Mount):
Fully compatible. The WHEELTOP rear derailleur is designed specifically for standard hangers.
- Direct Mount:
NOT compatible. Using a direct mount hanger will cause misalignment and poor shifting performance.
- UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger): Partially compatible. For successful installation on UDH-equipped frames, the clearance between the center of the mounting hole and the frame must be greater than 10.5 mm. |
