Training in Motion: WHEELTOP Team in Hainan

A Team Built on Performance

The WHEELTOP team is the only UCI-registered Continental team in Southwest China, representing a growing force in the region’s competitive cycling landscape.

With a strong presence across domestic and international races, the team has already secured 16 championship titles, reflecting both individual talent and collective strength.

Introduction & Background

As the new season approaches, the WHEELTOP team has entered an intensive training phase on Hainan Island — one of China’s most well-known cycling destinations, offering diverse terrain, stable weather, and ideal road conditions for high-performance preparation.

Throughout the training camp, riders are equipped with the WHEELTOP electronic shifting system, putting it through daily endurance rides, interval sessions, and high-speed efforts. From long coastal routes to sustained climbs, the system delivers consistent and responsive shifting, supporting riders in maintaining rhythm and efficiency across varied terrain.

Designed for real-world riding demands, WHEELTOP’s wireless setup allows for a clean and stable configuration, helping the team focus entirely on performance. Whether during repeated hill efforts or extended mileage days, the system proves reliable under continuous use — a key factor during high-intensity training blocks.

Preparing for What's Next

Training in Hainan is more than preparation — it is a foundation for the season ahead. With the support of WHEELTOP technology, the team continues to refine performance, optimize equipment, and push toward new competitive goals.
