WHEELTOP Kit Compatibility Guide

If you want to know if your unit is compatible with our WHEELTOP electronic shifting systems, you can determine this by checking the sprocket number and the type of derailleur hanger. Below are the compatibility details for each system:

1. EDS-TX Road Series

Front Sprocket: Compatible with 1x and 2x setups with a maximum sprocket size of 53T and a total range of 16T.

Rear cassette: Supports 3-14 speed settings:

Minimum sprocket size: 10T-11T.

Maximum sprocket size: 30T-36T

Total speed range 36T

Can be fine-tuned via WHEELTOP APP for optimal variable speed performance.

2. EDS OX2.0

Rear derailleur (93 mm version): supports 10-52T discs with a total range of 42T.

3. EDS-GeX

Rear derailleur (93 mm version): Supports 10-52T discs (42T total range).

Rear Derailleur (75 mm version): Supports 10-46T discs (36T total range).

Shimano 11-speed 11/51

Shimano 105 CS-R7000(11-speed)

Shimano Ultegra CS-R8000

Shimano Ultegra CS-R8100(12 speed)

SHIMANO DEORE XT M8100 12-speed cassette

Campagnolo Ekar GT 10-48t cassette (compatible with 93m OX and 93m-GeX only)

Absolut Black oval sprocket (compatible with OX and GeX only).

4. Transmission Mount Compatibility

NON-DIRECT MOUNT: WHEELTOP rear derailleurs require a non-direct mount derailleur hanger. Use of direct mount hangers may result in misalignment or poor performance.

UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger): Partially compatible. Performance may vary depending on bike frame design and adjustments may be required.Make sure the clearance between the center of the mounting hole and the frame is greater than 10.5 mm

5. front derailleur compatibility

Direct Mount: Band-On and Braze-On options available.

Maximum chainring size: 56T

Maximum Derailleur: 16T (50/34T or 53/39T recommended).

Seatpost clamps: Adapter clamps with different calibre ranges are available for different seatpost diameters, please select the appropriate clamp according to the frame seatpost size. （Please select the appropriate clamp ring according to the frame's seatpost size (not supplied by WHEELTOP).

6. Braking system compatibility

Cable Brake Kits: Compatible with rim brakes, V-brakes, cleat brakes and cable disc brakes.

Hydraulic Disc Brake Kit: Uses mineral oil and is compatible with Shimano hydraulic brake systems.

WHEELTOP specialised fittings (olive oil heads, oil pins).

For hoses and fittings we recommend the Shimano BH-90 model.

7.Calculation of chain length

To determine the correct chain length for your WHEELTOP Road disc brake groupset, please refer to the attached image. When the chain is positioned on the largest cassette sprocket and the largest chainring, you should add four additional chain links to achieve the optimal length.
